Match Report
Repton School Girls-U14B vs  Bromsgrove School
On: Saturday, 11 Sep 2021
Venue: Away

It was another warm afternoon on the pitch at Bromsgrove. We were looking forward to testing our skills against the usually strong Bromsgrove opponents and had a very competitive 50 minutes.

We faced many attacking plays into out defensive circle and dealt with them confidently for the most part but twice we were exposed for not man marking and were extremely lucky not be punished. It was Fenella who scored first, from a smart short corner piece which capitalised on our only real opportunity in the first half.

Second half highlighted our fitness so after promising pushes up the pitch, our legs couldn’t carry us back quickly to defend so two goals from Bromsgrove came quickly.

We still have movements to make between squads as players are shuffled up and down but I cannot fault the girls for their fearless tackling today. We got stuck in, showed glimpses of excellent skill and we have lots to look forward to.

Thanks to Bromsgrove for the excellent hosting. Eva was voted POM by the opposition. Well done, Eva!
